About Me

My name is Suzanne Hamoui. I am originally from Aleppo, Syria, and now live in Toronto. In life I am obstetrician-gynecologist and a self-taught illustrator.

When I left Syria in 2015, I moved to France with my family. There, I began exploring different forms of graphic art, working with black and colored ink, acrylics, gouache, and crayons on paper.
My art often carries hidden puzzles and secret messages, while remaining simple, friendly, and visually striking. Inspired by nature and vibrant colors, my work blends traditional techniques with modern styles to create unique pieces that resonate with a wide and diverse audience.

My vision is to bring contemporary art to a wider audience, reflecting my dreams, imaginary friends, and memories through the lens of my culture and my passion for nature. I believe that art has the power to inspire, challenge, and transform. It also serves as a medium to release my negative energy, showcasing the beauty of life, nature, creatures, and culture in a form of creative meditation.

This space is where people can come together to engage with art, with each other, and with our mother nature. Through my paintings, I focus on the natural habitats of animals and the impact of climate change, illustrating their loss of homes through a harmonious visual narrative. My art sings like an orchestra, inviting viewers to see and hear the plight and beauty of the natural world.

I paint what I feel and what I desire trying to add some beauty to this world.
I am dedicated to bringing the best and most innovative contemporary art to you, fostering a deeper connection with art and nature.
