"Two Voices" (Original Art)
Medium: Mixed Media on archival, acid-free paper
Dimensions: 20 x 30 inches
Series: Animal OrchestraWith the parrots’ astonishing ability to mimic sounds, the idea of having them sing as part of my imagined orchestra was irresistible.
As always, I worked within a classical Eastern framework, adding a golden touch with sheets of gold. In this painting, I combined black and colored ink with gouache, watercolors, markers, and colored pencils. For the background, I sprayed layers with my old classic airbrush—the very one I once blew into back in school.
Here, a pair of Eclectus parrots rise in duet, their voices lifting into the timeless refrain: Ya Leil, Ya Ein.
This original work is a signature piece from the Animal Orchestra series, balancing precision with vibrancy and celebrating the harmony that can exist between two distinct voices.

✨ Artist’s Note:
“When I created In Two Voices, I imagined a duet between two parrots, their brilliant feathers like music notes in the air. The microphone transforms their natural calls into a shared performance — echoing both freedom and stagecraft. For me, this piece is about communication, the unspoken harmony that emerges when different voices come together.”
